DANCE THERAPY FOR HEALTH & LONGEVITY

Brian has been experimenting with dancing and movement therapy of the body for 26 years. He finds dance to be one of his most cherished forms of opening both the heart and soul to greater freedom and personal awareness of self. Over the years his style has morphed from breakdancing foundation with choreographed routines to a limitless style of “No Style,” manifested and illuminated through emotional purification of the spirit and the mortal body. As a DJ and musician he is constantly inspired with new vibrations and frequencies that inspire evolving movement flow and freedom. One of his goals in Thailand and for his new home at Jirung Health Village is to create Ecstatic Dance Events where both local and international visitors may embrace the rhythm of the soul through such ancient ritual practices. Dance has been proven to be one of the only forms of therapy to maintain rewiring of nervous system and electrical synapses of the brain. When the music, vibe and energy are constantly in flux and change, dance forces the brain to create new pathways of thought and thus increasing longevity of life by reducing the rick of dementia and disease all we age. No other form of mental stimulation or physical training can break through patterns of conditioning as dance can, and in such freedom we all can become one with the eternal fluidity of consciousness.

Traditional Martial Arts in the Chinese Culture can be traced back 5,000 years and can be linked to ancient and mysterious system of movements that were designed to unite the mind, body and spirit by focusing on the breath and intention behind ones thoughts. This legacy of wisdom was then known as "Dao Yin" and only till the recent 1960's has the common term been bestowed as "Qigong" (Pronounced "Chee-Gung"), which literally translates as "Energy Exercise" or "Breath Exercise". The terms Qi (Chi) can be identified as Vital Life Force from which the entire universe and human entity is comprised, while Gong (Gung or Kung) can be identified as skill, ability or exercise.
